Today was a fantastic day (that threatened to suck at the end because
of work, but I said I wouldn’t let it, so there…). I spent the whole
afternoon with my favorite person in the whole world, sitting on a park
bench and walking around Lake Katherine. The weather was beautiful, the
sun hot (the hairs on our head were warm to the touch) and the wind
breezy. The ducks and geese swam on the lake while the seagulls swooped
around the lake (and pooped in it). Snakes were out for a swim as well,
sharing company with beavers. Heck, even a pet dog decided to get in
the act.
We sat there on the park bench, both of us wearing cool, hip sunglasses, and
talked for a good couple of hours. We recounted the wonderful story on
how we met and figured out that we liked each other (and we haven’t
looked back since), talked a bit about food, purple tongues, the
animals that were out and about, and other little fun things.
I am completely, utterly crazy about her and I could not be any happier.
