There have been a couple of things that have made my inner geek moppet very happy these past couple of days. First, I discovered a site that has awesome tutorials for Photoshop. This has kickstarted my creativity up again like none other. I made a sweet wallpaper, if I may say so myself, of my fiancee that mimicks the look of a Sin City comic. Already there are some projects and exercises that are rolling around in my head.
Second, I’ve discovered the benefits of an awesome program called DOSBox. Basically, it allows you to run all of those old school games that don’t run on XP any more. So I’ve been pulling out my catalog of older games and eagerly looking forward to playing them again, reliving those glory days of the early ’90s. Not to mention an awesome RPG that a friend loaned me called Morrowind AND the stack of XBox games I still need to play/beat, including the latest iteration of Grand Theft Auto.
Being a geek hasn’t been this much fun in a while!
P.S. I extend a warm welcome to my favorite month of the year: September!

Hey if you have a second check out this new Christian site http://www.asoldierforchrist.com started by a couple of college kids with their main desire to help spread the gospel to the next generation, and for Christians to share God given gifts, insights and talents for others to learn and grow. God Bless
