So, Doug (my roommate) is married. The weekend was a blast. It was great seeing all of my Trinity friends in town again. Amanda finally got to meet them all. (They like her.) Pretty much everyone in my group is married with the exception of three guys, myself included. The nice thing, though, is that it never feels like a couples’ affair when everyone gets together. It’s just a big group of friends hanging out and having a good time. → Read more...
The world continues to turn… In two days my roommate of three years will get married to the girl he’s been dating for two years. Tonight’s the bachelor party. Tomorrow’s the rehearsal. Friday’s the wedding. Saturday will be the beginning of a new phase of my life: No more roommates. Unreal. → Read more...
Alright, so what did I think of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Well… save your money… That is, to go see it. It was a wonderful, twisted flick (what else can one expect from a Tim Burton movie) and it is my opinion that Johnny Depp acquitted himself very nicely as Willy Wonka. Finding someone who you can be your silly, nutty, crazy self with… Finding someone who likes your laugh (even if it’s high pitched or ends in a snort)… Finding someone who rolls their eyes after you’ve just said a dumb statement or a misplaced word (but still likes you anyway)… Finding someone who gets as excited about hot dogs with mac & cheese as you do… Finding someone who will hold you when all you need is to be held… Finding someone that needs you as much as you need them… …is worth every minute of the wait. → Read more...

I stood on the highest peak in front of the whole world. Large cities and small towns before me people and cars going about their lives. Glittering stars and the bright moon within reach just extend my hands the whole world is mine. I reached out arms outstretched palms open ready to gather everything in my arms for me. But just then I looked down and saw you walking down the street in a purple dress. → Read more...
