As many of you already know by now, I became a proud father for the first time to Caleb Timothy Aggen nearly a month ago on Monday, August 20. Everybody is doing well, albeit struggling with some sleepless nights with a newborn! Our Children and Our Children’s Children
I know I’ve said this before and I will probably say it again and again: It is amazing how the Bible is truly a Living Word because it changes with us. There is always something new that speaks to us or suddenly is revealed in a profound way, even when we’ve read the same words over and over. Right now, my Bible studies have taken me to the Book of Exodus once again. A little background first: My sixteen-month-old son, Caleb, has an enduring fascination with lights. Streetlights, lamps, desk lights, parking lot lights, hallway lights, you name it, he loves them all. He loves pointing them out to me and his mother. Whenever there is a light that is off and he notices, he asks us to turn it on by using the American sign language form of the word “please” that we taught him.
