There’s nothing like waking up and opening the window blinds to discover freshly fallen snow on the ground. It makes one positively giddy. It’s a perfect way to begin December, methinks.

Yesterday I picked up a set of Yaktracks. They are rubber things with metals coils, they fit around the bottom of shoes. Now I am super-impervious to ice and snow. No Pittsburgh hill will defeat me. I can walk both up and down the stairs, steep slopes and uneven sidewalks. IF I remember to put them on. You flatlanders can only imagine what an adventure it is in Pittsburgh when winter comes. ^~~^~^~~– !!!
