It’s Not You and Me in America, Part III
Last year or so, I posted a news article that talked about the sobering issues that Middle Eastern Christians have to face. Another article caught my eye a few weeks ago about Iran cracking down on Christians in a bid to stamp out possible political revolution. I’ve been looking for a time to post it here. Here are some excerpts, although I encourage you to read the whole story to get a fuller understanding of the issue. → Read more...
America, A Country I Love
Two hundred and thirty-three years ago, 56 men signed a piece of paper that came to be called the Declaration of Independence. Through this act, thirteen colonies broke away from the British rule that they were under and formed their own nation. Out of this singular act arose a country that rapidly became a superpower in only two hundred years, an accomplishment that the world had never seen before. What is Truth?
“What is truth?” Pilate asked. –John 18:38 Has there ever been a question that hasn’t haunted mankind for centuries? Allow me to quote some of the article: “Archbishop Louis Sako … called on the U.S. military to do more to protect Christians and other minorities in the face of a rash of deadly attacks that has prompted growing numbers to flee the country. → Read more...

Matt
The other day I came across an article in which the British actor Stephen Fry was interviewed. In it, the staunch atheist was asked what he would say to God if he was “confronted with God.” At first, his answer made me sad because I really like him as an actor. I first became aware of him through his very funny collaboration with Hugh Laurie (“House, M.D.”) in Jeeves and Wooster, their adaptation of P.G. Wodehouse’s series of short stories of a hapless aristocrat and his wise butler. → Read more...
